Crochet two nostrils: 6 sc into a magic ring. Sew the nostrils to the muzzle. 

Attach the eyes, embroider eyelashes and eyebrows. 

Let’s start sewing the skirt. 

Cut a rectangular piece of fabric of the desired size. 

Hem the bottom of the fabric with a sewing machine. 

Fold the top of the fabric to create an opening for inserting the elastic, then sew it. 

Use a pin to thread the elastic through the opening, gather the skirt. 

Fold both ends together and sew them. 

The skirt is ready. 

Dress it on your hippo. 

Crochet a bow: In a magic ring: 4 ch, 6 dc with 2 yarn overs, 4 ch, sl st, 4 ch, 6 dc with 2 yarn overs, 4 ch, sl st, tighten to create a bow. 

Sew it to the head.
