Fish Amigurumi – Free Crochet Pattern

PATTERN

Body
Work with yellow yarn. Start from the nose.
1: 6 sc in MR
2: inc × 6 = 12
3: (1 sc, inc) × 6 = 18
4–5 (2): 18 sc
6: 12 inc, 6 sc = 30
7: 30 sc
👉 Round 8: install the eyes (you may mark the places with a thread or stitch marker).
8: (1 sc, inc) × 12, 6 sc = 42
9–15 (7): 42 sc
Eye placement: in Round 8, distance between eye posts = 8 sc.
16: (5 sc, dec) × 6 = 36
17–18 (2): 36 sc
19: (4 sc, dec) × 6 = 30
20–21 (2): 30 sc
22: (3 sc, dec) × 6 = 24
23–24 (2): 24 sc
25: (2 sc, dec) × 6 = 18
26: 18 sc
27: (1 sc, dec) × 6 = 12
Stuff the body starting from the nose.
Fold the piece in half and close by crocheting 6 sc through both layers.
Shaping (Indentations)
Use GALACES 0.55, white, single strand (about 20 cm).
Mark the points with pins (zoom photos if needed).
Points 1 and 6 are in Round 6 from MR.
Insert needle at point 1, exit at 2;
insert at 3, exit at 4;
insert at 5, exit at 6.
Tie and tighten the two threads formed at points 1 and 6.
Adjust stuffing in the cheeks with a hook.
Face Embroidery
Embroider eyelashes, eyebrows, and mouth with Iris yarn (2 strands).
Small Fins (Make 2)
Work in rows. Ch 1 at the end of each row. Start with light blue.
1: Ch 5
2: From 2nd ch from hook – 4 sc
Change to blue.
3–4 (2): 4 sc
Change to light blue.

Fasten off.
Fold the fin accordion-style, sew along one side, pull tight and secure.
Tail
