You will need:

Leftover yarn of any kind. The toy is small, so the yarn consumption is minimal.

I used:

Beige, pink, and yellow made from “Alize” Angora gold, 20% Wool/80% Acrylic, 100 g/500 m.

Blue cat – “Vita” Coco 100% mercerized cotton, 50 g/240 m.

White yarn for eyes. I used “Vita” Pelican 100% double mercerized cotton, 50 g/330 m.

Black and pink for facial features. I used “Iris”.

Hollowfiber filling.

Beads for eyes, 2 mm (size depends on your chosen yarn).

Crochet hook No. 1.25.

Sewing needle.

Keychain attachment (if desired).

You can use any other yarn, just make sure to choose the appropriate hook size. Keep in mind that depending on the thickness of the yarn and the size of the hook, the size of the toy will vary. When crocheting with the recommended yarn, the height of the body is about 6 cm (excluding legs and ears), with them – about 17 cm. Ideal for keychains, bag decorations, or as a toy on a Christmas tree.

This workshop does not contain crochet lessons. Basic crochet skills are required to follow this workshop. All toy parts are crocheted in a spiral, unless otherwise stated. If necessary, make turning chains.

For convenience, use a marker or contrasting yarn. Difficulty level – even a beginner can handle it.

PATTERN

Legs/Arms:

1: 6 MR.

2: 6 INC = 12 SC.

3-5: 12 SC.

6: 6 DEC = 6 SC.

Stuff with filling.

7: 3 DEC = 3 SC.

Then crochet a cord. To do this, make 3 chains on the hook. Pass the yarn through the first SC, leave it on the hook. Also pass it through the second stitch and leave it on the hook. Thus, we have three loops on the hook. Remove two of them by holding with your fingers (hold firmly, they always try to escape). Then crochet them: first the one on the hook, then the middle one, and then the first one again.

Repeat the same for arms (10 rows) and legs (16 rows). At the end of crocheting, tighten the loops, secure the yarn, and cut it.

Big Eye:

1: 6 MR.

2: 6 INC = 12 SC.

3: (1 INC, 1 SC) * 6 = 18 SC.

4: (1 INC, 2 SC) * 6 = 24 SC.

5: (1 INC, 3 SC) * 6 = 30 SC.

6-8: 30 SC.

Secure and cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Small Eye:

1: 6 MR.

2: 6 INC = 12 SC.

3: (1 INC, 1 SC) * 6 = 18 SC.

4-6: 18 SC.

Secure and cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Bunny Ears (2 parts):

1: Chain 25, starting from the second chain from the hook, crochet 16 SC, 2 HDC, 3 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC, 3 SC in the last chain, turn and work on the opposite side of the chain, 1 SC, 1 HDC, 3 DC, 2 HDC, 16 SC.

2: Edge the ear with slip stitches.

Secure and cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Cat Ears (2 parts):

1: Chain 2, SC, HDC, DC, HDC, SC = 5 stitches.

2: Turn and edge with slip stitches.

Secure and cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Cat Tail:

Crochet a cord using the same method as for arms/legs, but start with 3 chains instead of a ball.

Make 3 chains, pass the yarn through 2 chains and leave it on the hook. Do the same with the first chain. Thus, we have three loops on the hook. Then crochet as for arms/legs.

At the end, tighten the loops, secure the yarn, and cut it.

Body:

1: 8 MR.

2: 8 INC = 16 SC.

3: (1 INC, 1 SC) * 8 = 24 SC.

4: 4 SC, 4 INC, 8 SC, 4 INC, 4 SC = 32 SC.

5: 4 SC, (1 INC, 1 SC) * 4, 8 SC, (1 INC, 1 SC) * 4, 4 SC = 40 SC.

6: 9 SC, 2 SC simultaneously in the loops of the leg and body (as the leg is a cord and there are no SC, insert the hook into the upper loops), 18 SC, 2 SC simultaneously in the loops of the leg and body, 9 SC = 40 SC.

Attention! If you are crocheting a cat, in row 7 you need to add a tail.

7: For the cat, 19 SC, 2 SC simultaneously in the loops of the body and tail, 19 SC = 40 SC. For the bunny, crochet 40 SC.

8-13: 40 SC (6 rows).

14: 4 SC, (1 DEC, 1 SC) * 4, 8 SC, (1 DEC, 1 SC) * 4, 4 SC = 32 SC.

15: 7 SC, 2 SC simultaneously in the loops of the arm and body (as the arm is a cord and there are no SC, insert the hook into the upper loops of the cord), 14 SC, 2 SC simultaneously in the loops of the arm and body, 7 SC = 32 SC.

16: 7 SC, 1 DEC, 14 SC, 1 DEC, 7 SC = 30 SC.

17-23: 30 SC (7 rows).

Stuff the body with filling.

24: (1 DEC, 3 SC) * 6 = 24 SC.

25: (1 DEC, 2 SC) * 6 = 18 SC.

26: (1 DEC, 1 SC) * 6 = 12 SC.

27: 6 DEC.

Stuff the body with filling.

Secure and cut the yarn.

Assembly:

Sew the eyes with the wrong side facing out, lightly stuffing them during the process.

Attach beads for pupils.

Embroider the facial features – nose, mouth, and eyebrows.

Sew on the ears.

If desired, you can shade.

Your big-eyed toy is ready.
