Skirt 

Attach yellow yarn and crochet in the front loops of round 17.

Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the end inside the piece. 

Assembly and Finishing 

First, sew on the ears, approximately between rounds 2 and 10. Make sure the ears are sewn symmetrically. 

Embroider the face. Create the indentations at points 1-4 (see the photo). First, mark with pins the positions of the eyes (points 1 and 2), they are located between rounds 36 and 37 of the head, the distance between points 1 and 2 is 7 sc. Then mark points 3 and 4, which are located 1 sc to the sides of points 1 and 2 respectively. 

Insert a long needle with thread at the base of the head (opposite to the face side) and bring it out at point 1. Then insert the needle at point 3 and bring it out at the base of the head (at the same point where you inserted the needle). Slightly pull the thread. You can repeat the indentation once more. 

Similarly, make the indentation for the second eye, but in this case, bring the needle out at point 2 from the base of the head. Then insert the needle at point 4 and bring it out at the base again. Both ends of the thread should be together, pull them and tie a knot. Hide the knot inside the piece. 

Glue the eyes in place at the indentations. Make small stitches under the eyes with white thread. Embroider the upper eyelids and eyebrows with black thread. With pink thread, between rounds 35 and 36, embroider the nose with horizontal stitches.

3: Repeat steps 1 and 2 two more times, each time pulling the yarn. Leave the yarn at the bottom. 

4: Mark 3 points at the bottom with pins. From the bottom middle of the white detail, count down 5 rows, put a pin. From this pin, count down 2 rows and to the sides by 2 stitches, put pins. 

5: Insert the needle into the top point, pull it out to the left bottom point. Pass the needle under the stitch, insert the needle into the right point. 

6: Pull the needle out to the top middle of the white detail. Tighten the yarn. 

7: Embroider the nose on 1-2 stitches on the main fabric close to the white detail. 

8: When the nose is embroidered, pull the needle to the bottom middle of the white detail. Insert the needle into the top middle and pull it out of the hole on the back.

If the fabric is slightly skewed, you can simply gently adjust it by hand, pulling it in the right direction. 

Pupil: 

Crochet with black cotton yarn and a size 2 hook. 

1: 6 sc in MR (6) 

2: Close the ring with a sl st, leaving a tail for sewing. 

Finishing: 

Sew the pupil to the eye, approximately in the middle. Then sew the eyes to the head, for convenience, you can first fix them with pins. Sew on the nose, if necessary, add some stuffing. 

Embroider whiskers, mouth, and eyebrows with black yarn. To hide the embroidery threads, insert the needle at one point, leaving a tail, after finishing work, pull it out exactly in the same point, make a knot, and hide it inside the head. 

Sew on the ears, starting from the top of the head.

You will need: 

Leftover yarn of any kind. The toy is small, so the yarn consumption is minimal. 

I used: 

Beige, pink, and yellow made from “Alize” Angora gold, 20% Wool/80% Acrylic, 100 g/500 m. 

Blue cat – “Vita” Coco 100% mercerized cotton, 50 g/240 m. 

White yarn for eyes. I used “Vita” Pelican 100% double mercerized cotton, 50 g/330 m. 

Black and pink for facial features. I used “Iris”. 

Hollowfiber filling. 

Beads for eyes, 2 mm (size depends on your chosen yarn). 

Crochet hook No. 1.25. 

Sewing needle. 

Keychain attachment (if desired). 

You can use any other yarn, just make sure to choose the appropriate hook size. Keep in mind that depending on the thickness of the yarn and the size of the hook, the size of the toy will vary. When crocheting with the recommended yarn, the height of the body is about 6 cm (excluding legs and ears), with them – about 17 cm. Ideal for keychains, bag decorations, or as a toy on a Christmas tree. 

This workshop does not contain crochet lessons. Basic crochet skills are required to follow this workshop. All toy parts are crocheted in a spiral, unless otherwise stated. If necessary, make turning chains. 

For convenience, use a marker or contrasting yarn. Difficulty level – even a beginner can handle it.

Cat Tail: 

Crochet a cord using the same method as for arms/legs, but start with 3 chains instead of a ball.

At the end, tighten the loops, secure the yarn, and cut it. 

Body:
